This is a special project to support Africa Amini Alama financially, to train young mechanic apprentices and provide a service that was not available in this remote area: The Erich Plasonig repair and assembling shop.
For their equipment we needed a variety of machines that are unavailable in Tanzania. Two containers were sent to Momella for this. Thanks to the initiative and financial support from Prof. Dr. Gerhard Plasonig, we were able to start construction in May 2014. Josef Gstöttenmayr was on-site for several months to supervise the construction and bring in his know-how. After nine months we opened the first Car Service Centre in the Ngare Nanuki ward, to the joy and appreciation of many residents.
Our garage: an exemplary project in one of the most remote areas of Tanzania!
We thank Prof. Dr. Gerhard Plasonig, Josef Gstöttenmayr and Mag. Klaus Hölbing as well as all volunteers who came to Tanzania for educational purposes for their amazing support!
