"I don't make much money, but it's enough to survive and if I work harder, it will be more every month."

"When my husband passed away some time ago, I was left with nothing. I could barely feed my four children. I worked as a day laborer for a pittance. Africa Amini Alama helped me with start-up capital to be able to pursue independent work. The first bags of maize were financed and I didn’t have to pay back that money. I would never have been able to afford the seed capital. With the profits I now can buy food, school uniforms and writing materials for my children. When I have sold all corn, I will buy new corn, this way the seed capital will be saved and I live from the profits. It's such a blessing to be able to be independent!"
