A great birthday mission from Susi, for our mother-and-child unit

18.September 2018

Susi visited us in the spring of 2018 for the first time. There she followed her heart and is now trying to find sponsors for our students at Worseg Vision.

That’s when the idea, to also involve our guests and volunteers in the sponsorship project was born. As part of her stay, Susi claimed the offer of emotional and spiritual healing sessions given by DDr. Christine Wallner. This gave her strength and courage and helped her back into life, after her long and important phase of staying to herself.

In Momella Susi had the idea of celebrating her 50th birthday for the first time. There she decided, that asking for money for her birthday instead of presents would be a good idea. After lots of organization, her party was celebrated at the restaurant ‘Fischerhaus’ in Vienna the end of August.

Since Susi told everyone involved, that her celebration is centered around a charitable background, everyone was immediately enthusiastic and supported her by performing for less than usual.

After all, it was a great and successful party, which was completely dedicated to Africa Amini Alama. The restaurant ‘Fischerhaus’ was decorated with dream catchers from our Masaai ladies. The guests could buy our Masaai jewelry. And short films about Africa Amini Alama were shown.

In her very authentic speech Susi touched everyone. She announced that she will donate all of the money, given to her for her birthday, to the mother-and-child unit of Africa Amini Alama. The difference to the original musicians’ fee from - Jacqueline Patricio with her band, - Filip Bartenbach and Milan Wesiak and - Eliaß Saeidi from ‘Fischerhaus’ – was donated as well.

Susi wants to help mothers and babies in Momella, because every pregnant woman and her child should be given the opportunity to receive first-class medical care. During their pregnancy and childbirth, the mothers are being taken care of after European standards. So, their babies can be born healthy and embedded in an environment of love and care.

We thank Susi and her generous friends for their magnanimity!!
