Matayo, a Maasai boy we all love, can stand on his feet again.
For those who don't know him:
Matayo came to us two years ago with incurable wounds on both feet.
His father left him with us and was no longer seen.
Since then Matayo lives in our school in his own room in the teacher's building. During the time of intensive treatment the hospital was his second home. Both legs had to be operated and amputated.
His wounds have almost healed. Meanwhile he is busy doing exercises with his new prostheses.
He still has to be very careful, because the wound on the left stump is not completely sealed yet.
But Matayo can hardly wait... to stand on his own feet again!
